We're seeking a Business Initiatives (BI) Consultant II to join our team! The Business Initiatives Consultant is a member of the Transformation Management Office and is responsible for actively supporting and/or leading all activities in a project life-cycle (initiation planning, executing/controlling, and closing) of various sizes and complexity related to the strategic plan for the enterprise.
In this role, you'll serve as a role model to the organization in projecting an enterprise-wide viewpoint, providing high quality project management and analysis for an array of clinical and operational issues. This person partners with key organizational and operational leaders (including enterprise C-Suite) to identify and achieve priorities, goals, and objectives for each initiative.
Location: Remote with strong preference for candidates residing within the UPH geographies of Iowa, Illinois, or Wisconsin.
Hours: Monday-Friday, Days

Responsibilities
What You'll Do:
Provides leadership in the integration/implementation of initiatives with cross functional business partners
Facilitates the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables
Responsible for managing the day-to-day operational aspects of a project:
Identify resources and establish project schedules
Move projects forward and accelerate progress
Provide first line support to improvement teams
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
Provide input and assist in the development of project materials
Perform risk management to minimize project risks
Prepares communication plan and materials to socialize and gain buy-in of related business plans to management
Develops metrics and tracking/evaluating performance of programs, services and initiatives, providing updates to stakeholders on progress as well as problems and solutions
Works collaboratively with system and other regions on system objectives. Maintains collegial relationships with leaders in other regions to share best practices and learnings
Qualifications
What You'll Need:
Education:
Associate Degree in Healthcare, Project Management or Process Redesign/Improvement or related field.
Equivalent education and work experience will be accepted only if previous experience is directly relevant.
Experience:
At least five years’ experience in project management or process redesign/improvement.
Experience Managing Projects In a Healthcare Setting Highly Preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
Strong analytical, problem-solving skills
Strong project management skills
Strong written and oral communicator
Facilitation skills
Demonstrate ability to utilize effective, appropriate, and diplomatic oral written communication skills.
