An Environmental Engineer will perform environmental tasks including assessment, remediation, and compliance activities. Provide technical review and management support.
Compensation & Benefits:
Estimated Starting Salary Range for Environmental Engineer: $80,000.00+. Pay commensurate with experience.
Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.
Environmental Engineer Responsibilities Include:
Provides Quality Assurance/Quality Control of various environmental assessment, remediation, and compliance projects.
Reviews various environmental technical documents including but not limited to the following:
RCRA/CERCLA/POL
Environmental Assessment/Remediation
SPCC, ICP, FRP plans
Regulatory framework of environmental compliance activities for pollution prevention.
Knowledge of project management tools and techniques.
Knowledge and/or experience in all of the following preferred: 40 CFR Part 112, NCDEQ UST and Hazardous Waste Regulations, EPA RCRA and CERCLA, USACE EM 385-1-1, and SPCC, ICP, and FRP Plans.
Ability to review and elaborate on task order projects in a variety of environmental compliance and remediation projects.
Must have excellent customer service and multi-tasking skills.
Ability to effectively communicate both orally (in common English narration) and in writing (to include technical documentation).
Ability to work independently and work in a team environment.
Experience working with governmental clients and stakeholders.
Proficient in Microsoft Office with emphasis on Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, other applicable database, and office automation products, to include Adobe Pro.
Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal and background checks necessary for working with the federal government.
