Job description

Position Summary

The Marketing Events Manager leads the strategy, planning, and execution of high-impact events designed to drive revenue growth, foster client and partner engagement, and enhance brand visibility. This role is responsible for shaping the overarching events strategy, overseeing budgets, building, and managing sponsorship relationships, and ensuring measurable results. The Marketing Events Manager collaborates with cross-functional teams to align event initiatives with organizational goals and provides actionable insights through post-event reporting and analysis.

By blending strategic vision with operational excellence, the Marketing Events Manager plays a key role in driving sales enablement, client retention, and employee engagement through compelling and innovative event experiences.

Essential Functions

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive events strategy that aligns with revenue goals, enhances client relationships, and reinforces brand positioning.
  • Plan and oversee the execution of major external events (e.g., trade shows, conferences, regional engagements) and strategic internal gatherings that support team building and collaboration.
  • Develop and execute pre- and post-event marketing plans in collaboration with cross-functional teams, including outreach templates, social media strategies, and promotional campaigns.
  • Own event budgets, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to maximize impact while meeting financial targets.
  • Lead sponsorship strategy, securing and managing partnerships to ensure mutual value, seamless integration, and ROI.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with venues, caterers, AV providers, and other key vendors, negotiating favorable terms and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
  • Develop and implement strategies to attract and engage target audiences, leveraging data and insights into attendee needs and demographics.
  • Lead post-event reporting and analysis, delivering actionable insights to stakeholders and recommending continuous improvements for future events.
  • Partner with sales, product, and client success teams to ensure events effectively communicate value propositions and align with business objectives.
  • Manage the creation, inventory, and distribution of physical marketing materials, including branded merchandise, gifts, collateral, event displays, and interactive experiences designed to elevate engagement at events.
  • Evaluate, implement, and manage event technologies (e.g., registration systems, virtual platforms, event apps) to enhance attendee experience and streamline operations.
  • This role requires approximately 25% travel to support regional and Allied-Owned Events.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience required.

Experience & Skills

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in event management, with a proven track record of designing and delivering strategic events that drive revenue and engagement.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute events strategies that support organizational goals and deliver measurable results.
  • Strong skills in managing complex, multi-faceted projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior leaders and external partners.
  • Analytical Mindset: Proficient in measuring event success, gathering stakeholder feedback, and applying data to inform future strategies.
  • Experience with event technology solutions, virtual platforms, and marketing tools.
  • Willingness to travel as needed and adapt to evolving business priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software required.
