See yourself in our team

Retail Banking Services (RBS) is the public face of CommBank, delivering a seamless banking experience for the future, to our 10 million + personal and small business customers. We offer market-leading products and services, supported by some of the world’s best systems and processes.

The Everyday Banking Deposit, Pricing and Governance team is responsible for the manufacturing and profitable growth of Retail Savings Products, Fixed Investment Products, for the Retail and Business Bank segments. Do work that matters

As a Senior Manager Product Governance, you will be responsible for driving accountability and governance of key controls, assets, and exception reports to ensure we deliver on our promises to our customers. You will lead highly visible forums with senior stakeholders to drive customer-focused outcomes and address breakpoints and risks. Additionally, you will enhance the Knowledge Management framework, a critical governance tool that underpins Everyday Banking’s product management capability. Specifically, you will;

  • Lead the charge in ensuring top-notch product governance that prioritises customer focus and mitigates risks in crew and domain forums
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to deep dive into fees and interest, identifying crucial risks and control gaps to enhance the accuracy of EDB products and ensure they perform flawlessly
  • Take the initiative in identifying, managing, and mitigating risks while strengthening controls, addressing issues and incidents proactively
  • Centralise and document product rules, transforming both explicit and tacit knowledge into a structured format, and maintain ongoing governance of these documentations
  • Work closely with Product Managers and Analytics Team Members to enhance the accuracy of controls and exception reports, swiftly addressing gaps to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Foster accountability by establishing robust governance and controls, empowering Product Managers to own and manage their key controls and exception reporting
  • Identify opportunities for improvement, simplification, and standardization in product construction and management, driving innovation and efficiency
  • Chair dynamic and customer-focused governance forums that drive both customer and business value, while preparing high-quality, customer-centric forum papers and recording succinct meeting minutes
  • Provide expert advisory and subject matter expertise on product changes, problem-solving, and innovative solutions
