Your role, your impact

As a security operations analyst, you will play a key role in updating critical software on desktop machines. Your primary goal will be to ensure these systems are secure and up to date. You will work both independently and collaboratively in a project-based environment.

Your day-to-day

  • Perform vulnerability analysis to verify, remediate, test, and validate the resolution of discovered vulnerabilities;
  • Design, develop, and support the implementation of automation scripts and workflows to deploy and manage vulnerability management infrastructure and applications;
  • Perform user acceptance testing (UAT) as required, diagnose issues, and communicate solutions effectively;
  • Provide strategic advice, technical guidance and expertise to program and project staff;
  • Prepare and review technical documentation (e.g., assessments, Nessus/Qualys/Tenable reports).
  • Develop clear and concise standards, procedures, and guidelines to manage and maintain the Vulnerability Management program.
  • Provide training and knowledge transfer sessions to client stakeholders regarding the vulnerability management program.

Keys to your success

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field;
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification;
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in the field of vulnerability and patch management;
  • Experience working with Linux, Windows Servers, Virtual Machines, databases and application support, as well as with using APIs;
  • Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Java, JavaScript, C#, C++, Python, PowerShell and Bash;
  • Capable of passing level 1 (reliability/site access) security clearance by the Government of Canada;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Comfortable in client-facing environments.
