Job description

What Are We Looking For:

We are searching for a Financial Controller who will be working with our client based in Canada. Our client offers an online education program designed to help aspiring entrepreneurs launch products using Fulfilment by Amazon. In this role, you will ensure the client’s finances are accurate, costs are optimized, and financial strategies support business expansion.

Beyond your experience, we are also looking for someone who is professional and possesses impeccable English communication in written and verbal form. The ideal candidate should be dynamic and result-oriented.

This role is 100% work from home.

Entity Management:

In this role, you will:

Oversee financial operations and reporting for multiple entities across Canada and the United States, including service-based businesses (the coaching company, agencies related to amazon, a design agency, along with Amazon Companies).

Financial Forecasting & Strategic Planning:

Develop and maintain corporate forecasts to support client financial goals, budget preparation, and business planning.
Oversee budgeting processes and cash flow management to ensure financial stability and alignment with strategic objectives.

Financial Analysis:

Analyzing financial data, including revenue, expenses, cash flow, and profitability metrics.

Full Accounting Cycle Management:

Handle all aspects of the accounting cycle, including journal entries, reconciliations, and transaction processing, ensuring accuracy in financial statement preparation.
Perform routine bookkeeping activities..

Compliance And Reporting:

Ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and accounting principles in the US and Canada regions.
Prepare and deliver accurate and timely financial reports.

Team Collaboration:

Collaborate with a CPA in Canada to develop and implement effective tax strategies.

About You:

Core qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Controller, Finance Director, or similar roles.
Bachelor degree holder in Accountancy, Finance Management or related field
Accounting licenses or certifications, such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA).
Proficiency in Quickbooks or similar accounting tools.
Must be Quickbooks certified.
Advanced Excel skills for complex financial modeling, data analysis, and reporting.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to address challenges independently.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Advantageous:

Experience in managing Canadian accounts.
Experience working in the Amazon industry.
Proficiency with data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to analyze financial data and provide actionable insights.

Technical Requirements (Device):

Fast/Stable Internet Connection (At least 10 mbps)

Shift and Schedule: Monday-Friday, Flexi time with 4 hours overlap in PST (40 hours per week)
