Job Summary:

Reporting to the Director of Sales Enablement, the Business Development Associate plays a pivotal role in driving the success of our Business Development engine. Acting as the foundation for identifying and qualifying opportunities, this role is integral to the achievement of our revenue goals. You will focus on gathering critical data, qualifying leads, and supporting the sales team by ensuring a seamless flow of actionable information. Working collaboratively with sales and marketing you’ll help to build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective publishers.

Our ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and proficient in Salesforce and Google Suite, with a passion for collaboration and problem-solving. This role provides an excellent opportunity for growth within the organization and exposure to dynamic, fast-paced business development environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with sales and marketing teams to qualify inbound leads efficiently, ensuring alignment with established criteria.
  • Analyze leads using industry tools like SimilarWeb and other market intelligence resources.
  • Assess lead quality based on target profiles, ensuring they meet company objectives and are sales-ready.
  • Conduct research to identify key stakeholders and decision-makers within prospective organizations.
  • Gather and validate contact information to enable targeted and effective outreach.
  • Ensure that all lead and prospect data, notes, and pipeline information are accurate and up to date in Salesforce.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to monitor pipeline health and provide regular updates to stakeholders on progress.
  • Provide feedback to the marketing team on lead quality and campaign performance to refine targeting strategies.
  • Participate in strategy sessions with sales and marketing to identify areas for improvement and innovation in lead generation and qualification.
  • Leverage Salesforce, Google Suite, and other industry tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in lead qualification and pipeline management.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a sales, marketing or business development role
  • Experience working with a CRM, prior Salesforce experience preferred
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, particularly in building and maintaining strong relationships with sales and marketing teams
  • Self-driven and deeply curious, with a strong desire to learn and explore
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
