Our Finance Team is looking for a Collections Officer to collect overdue debt from Sinch MessageMedia customers that are based in Europe, USA and Australia. Reporting to the Collections Team Leader - Philippines, you will work within a global finance team and will partner with key stakeholders within the business (Sales and Customer Support teams) to resolve customer queries and collect outstanding monies from customers. This role will cover US business hours, also known as the graveyard shift.
Key responsibilities:
- Daily collection activities including telephone and email follow up on lower value customer balances
- Working in a queue, you will deliver fast and effective communication to all clients resolving queries within specific service level agreements (SLAs).
- Perform account/payment reconciliations.
- Responding to external and internal customers on account queries.
- Identifying bad debts and escalating accordingly
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
- Proven collections experience is essential
- Advanced Excel knowledge is essential
- System knowledge – Zuora & Zendesk knowledge preferable.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy is essential, with strong customer service and communication skills.
- Sound time management, prioritisation and follow-up skills, including the ability to effectively balance quality and quantity of output.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the capability to recommend solutions and improvements.
