Full job description

As a Health and Safety Manager, you will be in charge of the development and implementation of health and safety procedures in a fast-paced FMCG environment. You will work closely with the Engineering & Manufacturing department, ensuring adherence to regulations and promoting a safe workplace culture.

Description

• Develop, implement and oversee health and safety procedures in line with company policy and legal requirements.
• Coordinate with the Engineering & Manufacturing department to ensure safety standards are met.
• Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
• Provide training and guidance on health and safety matters to staff members.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and non-conformities, providing recommendations for prevention.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation.
• Prepare and present regular health and safety reports to management.
• Promote a positive health and safety culture within the organisation.

Profile

A successful Health and Safety Manager should have:

• Relevant qualifications in Health and Safety management.
• A background in the FMCG industry, particularly within an Engineering & Manufacturing context.
• Proven experience developing and implementing health and safety procedures.
• Excellent knowledge of health and safety legislation and regulations.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
