GENERAL SUMMARY
The Revenue Manager for PTG Consulting is responsible for providing services for assigned hospitality consulting projects. This role requires the ability to offer both a strategic approach and tactical execution based on client needs and scope of project with a steady management of multi-tasking between assigned clients. PTG Consulting duties will be a combination of one-off projects and ongoing revenue management support. This role influences and has responsibility for client retention and new business for PTG Consulting.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP
Under the direct supervision of the Senior Director, Revenue Strategy, this role is focused on Revenue for Hire support and other assignments for all client contracts. This role works with the Area / Regional Director(s), the Revenue Optimization team, PROS and other departments as needed, based upon the requirements of each project/assignment.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Revenue for Hire support: Responsible for assigned Revenue for Hire engagements. This may include temporary support for a hotel that is between revenue managers or support for a hotel that desires a long-term engagement. The level of support required varies based on the client’s needs. Examples include:
i. Strategic revenue management support - responsible for optimizing the hotel’s top line revenue
ii. Tactical support - such as reporting and analysis recommendations
iii. Tactical support executing the strategies determined, such as updating rates and availability.
B. Project Execution: Responsible for hands-on execution of assigned projects. Project examples include:
i. Segmentation Strategies
ii. Distribution Optimization such as creating and implementing ideal room and rate descriptions for hotels
iii. Revenue related technology set up, configuration, installation support and audits. This may include a variety of PMS, CRS, RMS, and OTA Channel Connects and more
iv. Tactical projects such as updating descriptions, building rate codes, etc.
v. Agency 360 analysis and/or training
vi. Training
C. For all Consulting assignments, the Manager provides reporting to the client based on project scope and internally reports daily on hours worked per project.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Worker characteristics are normally acquired through the completion of a university degree program or related hotel/travel industry experience.
• Completion of HSMAI’s CRME is a plus
• Minimum two years hospitality or travel industry experience including two years of single, or multi-property revenue management or hotel operations experience.
• Proven understanding of the principles of distribution, pricing and revenue management demonstrated through case study of own experience.
• Sales, Reservations, Distribution, and/or Revenue Management experience preferred.
• Must have excellent relationship building skills; be customer service oriented; have the ability to manage multiple tasks; and have the ability to analyze and interpret statistical data.
• Must be extremely flexible and adaptable to constant change.
• Must be technically astute and ideally already have significant experience in various systems such as SynXis, Opera, SpringerMiller Host, HMS by Infor, IdeaS, and/or Duetto to name a few.
• To be successful in this position, the individual must have a very strong attention to detail and accuracy.
WORKING CONDITIONS
This role follows a hybrid working model, with a base out of the Preferred Travel Group Mexico City office locations. Contractors are generally expected to work from the office 2-3 days per week, allowing for a balance of in-person collaboration and flexible remote working. Office space is beautifully as well as functionally decorated including all required technology tools. Incumbent is seated most of the time when in the office. Travel is estimated at approximately 5% of time as appropriate to support the overall expectation of the position. PTG will offer technology requirements as needed.
