Summary

Responsible for maintaining assigned production schedules by aligning demand with available capacity.  Working closely with the production & manufacturing teams, parts team, engineering team, materials team, and sales teams to track and communicate progress on schedule(s).  Assist with multiple aspects of the schedule(s) to ensure that products are produced efficiently and completed to established metrics.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Daily, tracks and monitors progress of current units and updates manual or systematic visual(s).
  • Daily, assures that new units are reported to materials for follow up and delivery to production.
  • Verify that all operations such as material, labor, and outside services have been posted to the order(s) daily.
  • Monitor and identify continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining ISO compliance and assists in resolution that includes documentation.
  • Attends production meetings and assists in management of orders.
  • Communicates with all stakeholders to effectively close orders and update status.
  • Maintains good working relationships with all stakeholders and communicates clearly while leading the department with dignity.
  • Reviews new manufacturing and production build requests and update orders in a timely manner.
  • Verifies with Supply Chain available inventory for manufacturing and production. 
  • Communicate expected start and completion dates for orders with all departments.
  • Work with materials to verify all necessary components are issued to the order.
  • Work to effectively implement process improvements that drive efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in related field or 5 - 10 years’ experience in a production or manufacturing environment preferred. 
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
  • Prior experience in manufacturing, production, service, parts, or automotive industry, prefer at least 5 years. 
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Must be self-sufficient, organized, and driven.

Working Conditions

  • Able to work as scheduled, with punctual attendance, Monday-Friday plus any additional hours/days necessary to meet business demands
  • Works between an office and plant environment with exposure to varying degrees of temperatures and noise. 
  • May be exposed to bright lights, loud noise, dust, gas and/or fumes.
  • Ability to travel up to 5% of the time including overnight stays.
  • Ability to work from home, when necessary, to meet business demands.

Physical Requirements

  • The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations.
  • Able to bend, stoop, sit, stand, and walk.
  • Ability to see things in proximity whether through natural or corrected vision.
  • Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of objects.
  • The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly most of the day.
