We are looking for a passionate journalist to join our team as a Data Insights Report Writer. This role combines analytical expertise with strong writing skills to transform complex data into clear, insightful reports for industries such as Law, HR, Wealth & Finance, and Insurance. The ideal candidate will also manage a team, provide feedback, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to produce high-quality, engaging reports tailored to our target audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Collect, clean, and analyze data from various sources to extract meaningful insights.
- Use statistical techniques and software tools to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
- Write industry intelligence reports across Law, HR, Wealth & Finance, and Insurance.
- Develop detailed, long-form reports with executive summaries, case studies, and white papers.
- Ensure all reports are clear, concise, engaging, and tailored to the target audience.
- Expand data sets using reputable online sources, industry knowledge, and economic indicators.
Innovation & Idea Development:
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in data analysis and report writing.
- Brainstorm new ideas for intelligence reports and oversee how large reports can be broken down into monthly reports by other team members.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Work closely with internal cross-functional teams and present findings to stakeholders in an accessible and compelling format.
- Understand market dynamics to design reports through surveys and interviews.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Conduct monthly feedback sessions and provide coaching on tasks like editing and improving articles.
- Address performance concerns promptly with written and verbal feedback.
- Hold weekly video calls with direct reports to offer guidance and support.
The ideal candidate will be:
- Experienced writer: Proven writing experience, with strong writing skills.
- Strong communication skills: Confident communication in writing, on the phone, and in person.
- Research and interviewing skills: Ability to conduct interviews, gather information, and analyze data.
- Leadership and teamwork: Experience leading and collaborating with teams.
- Business acumen: Understanding of business concepts and market trends.
