This role designs and configures BPCS (Basic Process control systems) at the plant. This is done through DCS (Distributed control system). You will have the opportunity to introduce new technology to enhance company profitability and productivity.
As a Process Engineer, you will be responsible for:
· Being involved in/supports the design and execution of small/ full simulations for products/ processes to evaluate the impact of proposed changes to validated equipment/ processes. Proactively identify solutions with support from seniors or direct supervisor to address issues that arose during process evaluation
· Providing technical expertise related to the product, equipment, and manufacturing/cleaning processes in response to deviations/ product complaints/ adverse events to identify point of occurrence, root cause and corrective/ preventative actions.
· Developing SOPs, gap analyses and procedures for Quality/EHS subsystems/ topics in compliance with regulatory requirements, divisional and corporate policies and guidelines.
· Supporting and managing product portfolio activities including managing documentation updates, quality risk assessments, change control management/ filing support and validation activities such as equipment qualification, simple process validation and cleaning validation/monitoring activities.
· Optimizing the process and implement measures to operate within the control range.
· Being proactively monitoring the performance of process parameters, critical quality attributes and equipment/module(s)/unit operation(s) performance during manufacturing and cleaning which involve leading/participating in Prospective Process Analysis (PPA), statistical analysis and response to shifts and trends in process performance.
· Generating project specifications, design philosophy, PFDs, P&IDs, calculations, operation manuals to comply with requirement.
· Carrying out process simulations, heat development and material balances.
· Carrying out process design for reactors, heat exchangers, tanks and develop respective process datasheets.
· Conducting or attending P&ID design reviews, HAZOP, IPF, SIL studies, 3D model reviews.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
· Have Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
· Have at least 5 years of chemicals manufacturing environment experience
· Have experience in chemicals Industry
· Have knowledge of Process Design, Simulation Skill (e.g. Aspen), ISO 9001, ISO 14001, Chemical and Quality Assurance, Risk Assessment, HAZOP and FEMA will be an advantage
