The Opportunity

Develop and present strategic solutions for New Product Introductions (NPIs) in Africa.

Drive New Product Launch projects at a Senior Global & Regional level, ensuring timely completion of tasks and launch plans.

Lead and develop business plans, meet goals, and coordinate with marketing on lead generation.

The role of NPI-Business Development manager will be responsible for their related for  ABBOTT RAPID DIAGNOSTICS

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Accelerate NPI launches through engagement with Global & Regional functions.
  • Create and maintain cross-functional commercial launch readiness and launch plans.
  • Organize and facilitate launch team meetings, track decisions and issues, and follow up on action items.
  • Communicate program and project plans to ensure common understanding among stakeholders and team members.
  • Report progress and ensure full visibility and support.
  • Conduct extensive field tours.
  • Create and implement direct sales strategies.
  • Prepare sales forecasts.
  • Attend clinical meetings, seminars, and conferences.
  • Establish relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and Key Decision Makers.
  • Monitor and report on competitive activities in Africa.
  • Implement and maintain the Abbott Quality System.
  • Plan and implement business plans for new market penetration.
  • Collaborate with company heads to set business objectives and development goals.
  • Conduct market research and establish strategic partnerships.
  • Ensure business processes comply with regulations.
  • Conduct contract negotiations and ensure profitable deals.
  • Set and enforce customer service standards.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Health Sciences and an additional business-related qualification.
  • 5-7 years of sales and business development experience.
  • Experience in private and public sectors.
  • Experience selling to mining, pathology, educational institutions, and NGOs.
  • Experience in the Africa region.
  • Proficiency in project management, communication, influencing, problem-solving, and conflict management skills.
  • Technical skills in report writing, PowerPoint, and business-related computer skills.
  • Language skills: English and relevant local language

Competencies:

  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to interact with external and internal customers and partners.
  • Superior attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to overcome cultural and language barriers to provide effective solutions.
  • Experience in conducting and handling audits and inspections.
