This remote Clinical Writer Sr. Educator position is primarily responsible for creating and developing nephrology clinical content and training materials for the In-Center setting. Nephrology content could also include both adult and pediatric care for incenter hemodialysis, home hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and hospital-based treatments such as hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, CKRT, and apheresis. Clinical content is used at a national level to train new and existing nurses, patient care technicians, directors, preceptors, educators, patients, and other roles within DaVita Kidney Care.  Content is developed with adult learning principles, and generational learning styles,  in mind while exhibiting creativity and innovation.

The Clinical Writer Sr. Educator builds relationships with key teammates in other departments to ensure alignment on cross-functional training and/or rollout initiatives.

They ensure the transfer of knowledge across all training programs. They serve as mentors and coaches to other education/trainer teammates.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES of the REMOTE Clinical Writer Senior Educator

  • Independently prepares, creates, innovates clinical content, training materials and educational tools in collaboration with teams/departments to meet department & operational objectives.

  • Reviews/creates content evaluations, participant & stakeholder feedback and makes recommendations to continually improve/innovate.

  • Delivers educational materials for a variety of settings & devices (e.g. virtual/live classroom, self-paced modules, videos, animations)

  • Responsible for training related to the Education/Trainer teammates, including the coaching and development of the educators in presenting created content.

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • RN license in state of practice

  • Associate’s degree in nursing required

  • Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in nursing preferred

  • Minimum of 3 years of recent nephrology nursing experience in In-Center dialysis is required

  • Experience writing educational trainings/materials, presentations, etc. Preferred

  • Additional experience in other areas such as adult and pediatric care for hospital-based treatments such as hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, CKRT, and apheresis- is preferred

  • Certified Nephrology Certification – preferred

  • Prior experience in training through multiple mediums (live, web-based, self-directed, etc.) required

  • Intermediate computer skills and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Required

  • Experience in nursing education preferred

Salary/ Wage Range

$75,200.00 - $110,400.00 / year

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
