We’re looking for an investment research associate to join our ranks on the Commonwealth Investment Management and Research team. The role will be primarily focused on supporting the fixed income research team, with an emphasis on individual security and fixed income fund analysis. The position will also work closely with the investment management team who runs our in-house asset management program.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Responding to inquiries from Commonwealth’s advisors on fixed income topics, asset classes, and securities (e.g., mutual funds, ETFs, Close-End Funds, Individual Bonds, and SMAs)
  • Providing professional assistance with asset allocation, portfolio construction, case design, and consultation
  • Supporting asset management programs, with considerable emphasis on fixed income fund selection and allocation suggestions
  • Conducting robust manager analysis for internal and external use
  • Researching and writing relevant market commentary
  • Taking on important responsibilities on a range of topical research projects

  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in investment research
