- Pay range is $90,000 - $120,000
The Infrastructure Team Lead will oversee the day-to-day operations of our Infrastructure team while ensuring the stability, reliability, and performance of our current IT infrastructure. The Infrastructure Team Lead will be a hands-on leader with strong technical expertise and a proven track record of supervising and guiding teams to achieve operational excellence. This position will work closely with our Application Development team and IT Helpdesk to ensure we follow and fulfill enterprise and security architecture best practices and remediate single point of failure and vulnerability risk.
Responsibilities:
- Documentation, installation, support, and maintenance of Transcat’s network, including (but not limited to): Windows and Linux servers (physical and virtual), SQL servers, AWS environments, Active Directory, Azure, Firewalls, SAN’s, switches, and backups
- Testing and maintenance of disaster recovery plan
- Support internal and Sarbanes-Oxley audit processes
- Providing leadership and direction to the Infrastructure team
- Assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and ensuring timely delivery of projects and operational goals
- Software deployments to Development, Staging, and/or Production environments
- Handle team conflicts, workload balancing, and prioritization of tasks
- Occasional travel to company sites
Qualifications:
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to manage and develop staff (coaching and mentoring skills)
- 3+ years working with AWS (Amazon Web Services)
- 3+ years of experience with Systems administration of cloud and on-premise environments
- Ability to work independently
- Strong working knowledge of Linux and common open-source utilities
- Strong working knowledge of Windows Server installation, patching and maintenance
- Working knowledge of SQL server – MS SQL, MySQL, Postgres
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
Education and Experience
- Degree in systems administration, networking or a related discipline
- 3+ years related experience in the following:
- Microsoft 365 products, apps, services, and administration
- Windows and Linux server environments
- DNS/DHCP
- Aruba/Cisco switch configuration/maintenance
- Python, Bash, PowerShell
- VMware vSphere and ESXi
- Veeam B&R
- Firewall configuration/maintenance
- Experience with containers (Docker, ECS/Fargate)
