How You'll Make an Impact

The primary responsibility of the Associate Scientist is to support project teams by delivering timely scientific and technical materials that are of high quality, and that meet customer needs.  


You Can Expect To

  • Participate in a timely, productive, and collegial manner on proposal and project teams
  • Competently produce quality technical (e.g., analyses, models, etc.) and written materials (e.g., reports, proposals, and papers, etc.) related to applicable areas of science and technology
  • Produce and deliver quality presentation material related to applicable areas of science and technology
  • Competently present science and technology to internal stakeholders (e.g., project meetings, Brown Bags, etc.)
  • Take initiative to do background reading and/or other forms of professional development related to project needs and technical/scientific areas of interest
  • Conduct all work in accordance with contractual compliance and all laws, keeping in alignment with the core values of Aptima



Requirements
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance 
  • Minimum of a Masters in Human Factors Psychology, Educational Psychology, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Applied Psychology, Cognitive Science, or related field 
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience managing projects, to include customer interfacing, planning and tracking tasking
  • Experience leading knowledge elicitation sessions with subject matter experts
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
