Summary of Job Duties:
***This position is located in Texarkana, AR.***

The Patient Care Technician(PCT) works under the direction of licensed Nursing Staff and Physicians. This position provides aid in direct patient care duties not requiring licensed staff to perform, assists patients with a variety of needs, including administrative and clinical care, and assists nurses and physicians with exams and procedures.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED. 
  • Successful completion of PCT course within three (3) months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Completion of Certified Nursing Assistant Program.
  • Previous experience as a Patient Care Technician.
  • Previous Experience in an ambulatory care setting.


Additional Information:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collects patient data.
  • Performs vital signs and point-of-care testing.
  • Performs EKG's.
  • Set up for and assist providers with procedures and examinations.
  • Coordinates appointments, referrals, consults, tests, and/or procedures.
  • Assist with messages, callbacks, and referrals.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.
