Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager of DevOps to lead and drive our DevOps and Cloud transformation initiatives. This individual will oversee DevOps, Solutions Architecture, and QA automation efforts, ensuring the alignment of these functions with organizational goals and Agile methodologies. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert in implementing and managing AWS platforms and possess a proven track record of fostering innovation and operational excellence within DevOps teams. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Leadership & Strategy: 

  • Define and execute the strategic roadmap for DevOps, Solutions Architecture, and QA automation. 

  • Drive DevOps culture across teams, emphasizing collaboration, continuous integration, and delivery. 

  • Mentor and grow a team of DevOps engineers, architects, and QA professionals. 

DevOps & Cloud Transformation: 

  • Lead the transition to modern DevOps practices, including infrastructure as code, containerization, and CI/CD pipelines. 

  • Implement scalable and secure AWS cloud solutions aligned with organizational needs. 

  • Optimize cloud resource usage and cost management. 

Solutions Architecture: 

  • Partner with engineering and product teams to design robust, scalable, and secure solutions. 

  • Ensure architectural decisions align with best practices and organizational goals. 

QA Automation: 

  • Oversee the development and implementation of automated testing frameworks. 

  • Ensure robust testing practices are integrated into the CI/CD pipelines. 

  • Champion the importance of quality assurance in delivering reliable products and solutions. 

Operational Excellence: 

  • Develop policies, procedures, and tools to improve system reliability and performance. 

  • Monitor systems, processes, and tools to ensure operational efficiency and proactive issue resolution. 

  • Drive incident management and root cause analysis to prevent recurring issues. 

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: 

  • Work closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Transformation teams to align on project goals and timelines. 

  • Communicate progress, roadblocks, and solutions effectively to stakeholders and executive leadership. 

Required Qualifications: 

  • 8+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or related fields, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. 

  • Expertise in AWS platform management, including designing, implementing, and maintaining AWS-based solutions. 

  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile environments. 

  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI). 

  • Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Bash, Terraform, CloudFormation). 

  • Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). 

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver on complex technical initiatives. 

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer). 

  • Experience with hybrid cloud or multi-cloud environments. 

  • Knowledge of QA automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress).
