General Description/Scope of Responsibilities (Internship):

BeiGene Corporate Affairs team is seeking a talented student to join the Responsible Business & Sustainability (RB&S) team for a summer internship focused on RB&S strategy and communications.

The intern will be engaged in a fast-paced, collaborative environment – working side by side with experienced RB&S professionals to support the evolution and implementation of a global strategy. This person will develop knowledge and skills related to the communication of sustainability, philanthropy, and corporate responsibility efforts that will enhance their educational experience and set them up for success upon completion of their degree program.

Proficiency in research, writing and verbal communications is important, as well an understanding of the importance of data accuracy, precision, and consistency.

Projects may include:

  • Support the implementation of the CSRD gap analysis recommendations including drafting policy positions and statements.
  • Provide benchmarking analysis of the 2024 biotech/pharmaceutical/healthcare industry CSRD reports to inform disclosure and reporting best practices
  • Draft communications materials related to the BeiGene Foundation and employee volunteer program for website, intranet, social media and presentations
  • Support BeiGene Foundation’s annual grantmaking process including researching potential grantees, supporting administration of grantmaking process and communications
  • Provide support for global employee volunteer program including updating content and responding to inquiries
  • Support development of IR content for possible fall ESG Investor roadshow
  • Support ongoing efforts to collect and verify qualitative and quantitative data for internal and external communications purposes
  • Providing additional research and writing support as needed

Essential Functions of the Internship: To give interns the opportunity to use their academic learnings in industry to gain real-world experience in ESG strategy and reporting and communications and have the chance to work on their networking skills and refine their career paths.

Computer Skills:   Competency with Office 365, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Other Qualifications: Experience or interest in responsible business, sustainability and philanthropy

Non-Commercial roles are eligible to participate in the annual bonus plan, and Commercial roles are eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.
