Job description

Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Oracle EBS 12 Techno-Functional Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong combination of technical expertise and functional knowledge, especially with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) R12 modules. This consultant will be responsible for configuring, customizing, and supporting Oracle EBS R12 across multiple modules, such as Finance, Supply Chain Management (SCM), Procurement, and Manufacturing, while bridging the gap between business requirements and IT solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Functional Expertise: Act as the liaison between business users and the technical team by understanding and gathering business requirements and translating them into functional specifications for Oracle EBS 12 modules.
  • Module Implementation and Configuration: Configure and implement Oracle EBS 12 modules (such as Financials, Procurement, SCM, Manufacturing, HRMS, etc.) based on the business process requirements.
  • Customization & Development: Design and develop custom solutions (reports, workflows, forms, etc.) using Oracle development tools such as PL/SQL, Oracle Reports, Oracle Forms, and BI Publisher.
  • Integration Management: Design, develop, and implement interfaces between Oracle EBS 12 and third-party applications or systems (both cloud and on-premise), ensuring seamless data flow.
  • Testing & Support: Perform unit testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure successful deployments. Provide post-implementation support and troubleshooting for Oracle EBS 12 applications.
  • Documentation: Create comprehensive functional and technical specifications, as well as test cases, configuration guides, and user manuals.
  • Business Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to streamline business processes and ensure best practices are followed during Oracle EBS 12 configuration and development.
  • Training & Knowledge Transfer: Conduct training sessions for end-users, helping them effectively use Oracle EBS 12 applications. Ensure proper knowledge transfer to the internal team.
  • Patch Management & Upgrades: Assist with patching, version upgrades, and maintaining the overall health of the Oracle EBS 12 environment.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, solution architects, and other consultants to ensure successful project delivery within deadlines.
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3-8 years of hands-on experience in implementing and supporting Oracle EBS 12 (R12) modules.
  • Strong functional expertise in Oracle EBS R12 modules, including but not limited to Financials (GL, AP, AR, FA), Supply Chain Management (Purchasing, Inventory, Order Management, Procurement), and Manufacturing.
  • In-depth knowledge of Oracle EBS R12 architecture, including module setups, interfaces, workflows, and integrations.
  • Expertise in Oracle development tools such as PL/SQL, Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, BI Publisher, and other reporting and customization tools.
  • Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL for customizations, data manipulation, and reporting.
  • Experience with integration technologies (e.g., APIs, Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), Web Services) for integrating Oracle EBS with third-party applications.
  • Understanding of business processes in Finance, SCM, Manufacturing, or HRMS and their automation using Oracle EBS.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify issues and implement solutions quickly.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment, managing multiple tasks effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Oracle EBS 12 Certifications (e.g., Oracle E-Business Suite R12 Financials, SCM, Manufacturing).
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Applications or experience in migration projects from Oracle EBS to Oracle Cloud.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies for project management.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or other cloud platforms.
  • Experience in data migration projects and understanding of data mapping, transformation, and validation.
