Talent and People Partner

The Role
We are seeking a seasoned and versatile Talent and People Partner to join our team and support the full spectrum of talent acquisition and human resources functions. In this role, you will play a critical part in attracting top talent, building a collaborative team environment, and driving people operations that reflect our focus on grit, teamwork, and high performance. Our fast-paced and variable startup environment requires someone who can create their own structure, navigate ambiguity, and thrive amidst constant change. Leadership is highly engaged in the details to enable faster company-level decision-making and impactful outcomes, so this role is ideal for someone who balances initiative with alignment to organizational priorities.
Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition:
Collaborate with hiring managers to define role requirements and craft compelling job descriptions
Manage the full-cycle recruitment process using Ashby as our Applicant Tracking System (ATS), including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring top talent
Build and maintain a robust talent pipeline through proactive outreach and networking
Leverage expertise in startup and digital healthcare GTM recruiting to identify and attract high-caliber candidates
Provide an exceptional candidate experience by ensuring clear and timely communication throughout the hiring process
Develop and execute recruiting strategies to meet current and future hiring needs
People Operations:
Administer day-to-day HR operations using JustWorks, including employee onboarding, offboarding, and record maintenance
Manage employee benefits enrollment and administration in collaboration with Marsh Benefits
Serve as a resource for employees, addressing questions on policies, benefits, and workplace concerns
Partner with leadership to drive employee engagement, retention, and professional development initiatives
Support performance review processes, goal setting, and employee feedback systems
Assist in implementing and maintaining HR policies, procedures, and compliance programs
Culture and Employee Experience:
Foster a workplace culture that values grit, teamwork, and curiosity
Plan and organize team-building activities and events, including the annual summer offsite, ensuring a well-structured and memorable experience that reflects the team’s unique character
Coordinate logistics for the offsite, including venue selection, travel arrangements, activities, and accommodations
Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to cultivate a supportive and high-performing team
Work on programs to improve employee wellness, satisfaction, and productivity
Other Responsibilities:
Maintain HR systems and tools, ensuring data accuracy and usability
Use Google Suite (Calendar, Email, Docs, Sheets) to manage schedules, communication, and documentation effectively
Track HR and recruiting metrics to provide actionable insights to leadership
Support other special projects as needed to advance the talent and people function
Qualifications
Minimum 6 years of recruiting and HR experience, with a strong emphasis on startup environments and digital healthcare GTM roles
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
Proven ability to manage and execute full-cycle recruiting processes effectively
Strong understanding of recruiting strategies, especially for startups and digital healthcare markets
Proficiency with Ashby, JustWorks, and Google Suite tools (Calendar, Email, Docs, Sheets)
Familiarity with managing employee benefits using Marsh Benefits
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, create structure from ambiguity, and work collaboratively across teams
High level of integrity and ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
A proactive problem solver who thrives in a highly dynamic, fast-changing environment and can build their own structure to succeed while staying aligned with leadership and organizational goals
Requires very strong communication skills
