Job description

About Kintsugi

Kintsugi is on a mission to scale access to mental healthcare for all. We are developing novel voice biomarker software to detect signs of depression and anxiety from short clips of free form speech. Awarded multiple distinctions for AI technology and recently named one of Forbes’ Top 50 AI companies to watch in 2022 and Fierce 15 in 2023, Kintsugi helps to close mental health care gaps across risk-bearing health systems, ultimately saving time and lives.

At Kintsugi, we believe that mental health is just as important as physical health. We exist to ensure that everyone who needs mental healthcare has access to the right care at the right time.

About The Team

We're a female-founded organization, united and driven by our shared passion to revolutionize access to mental healthcare. Our mission is ambitious, and each member of our team wears multiple hats and plays a pivotal role. As an early-stage, Series A startup, we offer exciting growth opportunities and the chance to make a real impact. Join us to embark on a rewarding journey, learning and growing alongside our dedicated team of trailblazers.

Talent and People Partner

Kintsugi | Full-time | Remote

The Role

We are seeking a seasoned and versatile Talent and People Partner to join our team and support the full spectrum of talent acquisition and human resources functions. In this role, you will play a critical part in attracting top talent, building a collaborative team environment, and driving people operations that reflect our focus on grit, teamwork, and high performance. Our fast-paced and variable startup environment requires someone who can create their own structure, navigate ambiguity, and thrive amidst constant change. Leadership is highly engaged in the details to enable faster company-level decision-making and impactful outcomes, so this role is ideal for someone who balances initiative with alignment to organizational priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Talent Acquisition:
    • Collaborate with hiring managers to define role requirements and craft compelling job descriptions
    • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process using Ashby as our Applicant Tracking System (ATS), including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring top talent
    • Build and maintain a robust talent pipeline through proactive outreach and networking
    • Leverage expertise in startup and digital healthcare GTM recruiting to identify and attract high-caliber candidates
    • Provide an exceptional candidate experience by ensuring clear and timely communication throughout the hiring process
    • Develop and execute recruiting strategies to meet current and future hiring needs
  • People Operations:
    • Administer day-to-day HR operations using JustWorks, including employee onboarding, offboarding, and record maintenance
    • Manage employee benefits enrollment and administration in collaboration with Marsh Benefits
    • Serve as a resource for employees, addressing questions on policies, benefits, and workplace concerns
    • Partner with leadership to drive employee engagement, retention, and professional development initiatives
    • Support performance review processes, goal setting, and employee feedback systems
    • Assist in implementing and maintaining HR policies, procedures, and compliance programs
  • Culture and Employee Experience:
    • Foster a workplace culture that values grit, teamwork, and curiosity
    • Plan and organize team-building activities and events, including the annual summer offsite, ensuring a well-structured and memorable experience that reflects the team’s unique character
    • Coordinate logistics for the offsite, including venue selection, travel arrangements, activities, and accommodations
    • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to cultivate a supportive and high-performing team
    • Work on programs to improve employee wellness, satisfaction, and productivity
  • Other Responsibilities:
    • Maintain HR systems and tools, ensuring data accuracy and usability
    • Use Google Suite (Calendar, Email, Docs, Sheets) to manage schedules, communication, and documentation effectively
    • Track HR and recruiting metrics to provide actionable insights to leadership
    • Support other special projects as needed to advance the talent and people function
Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 years of recruiting and HR experience, with a strong emphasis on startup environments and digital healthcare GTM roles
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • Proven ability to manage and execute full-cycle recruiting processes effectively
  • Strong understanding of recruiting strategies, especially for startups and digital healthcare markets
  • Proficiency with Ashby, JustWorks, and Google Suite tools (Calendar, Email, Docs, Sheets)
  • Familiarity with managing employee benefits using Marsh Benefits
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, create structure from ambiguity, and work collaboratively across teams
    • High level of integrity and ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
    • A proactive problem solver who thrives in a highly dynamic, fast-changing environment and can build their own structure to succeed while staying aligned with leadership and organizational goals
