Job Overview

Join VIQ Solutions, a pioneering leader in transcription services for Legal and Judicial sectors, as we embrace a technology-focused workflow. We are seeking experienced Legal/Judicial contract professionals with a proven track record in transcribing depositions and hearings. This position offers the flexibility of a fully remote work environment for Independent Contractors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately transcribe depositions, hearings, and other judicial proceedings.
  • Maintain high attention to detail to ensure fidelity to audio recordings.
  • Adhere to specific client style guides to produce exceptional verbatim transcripts.
  • Collaborate effectively with our in-office team for support when needed.

Required Skills

  • Extensive experience in court reporting, scoping, or legal transcription.
  • Strong listening abilities coupled with excellent grammar and literacy skills.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and adhere to client-specific requirements.
  • High typing proficiency, both in speed and accuracy.
  • Familiarity with legal terminology is essential.
  • Capability to process complex audio/text content, with sensitivity to potentially offensive material.
  • Must pass a background check.
  • Court reporting students are also encouraged to apply.
