Data Scientist

At Movement Labs, we are building the first network of modular Move-based blockchains, designed to combine performance with liquidity and composability. We are pioneering innovative blockchain solutions to push the boundaries of interoperability, scalability, and user accessibility. As our Data Scientist, you will drive strategic insights and data intelligence, enabling smarter decisions across the organization.

We’re seeking an accomplished data scientist to play a pivotal role in building out data intelligence infrastructure, conducting on-chain and off-chain data analysis, and uncovering insights that drive business strategy and operational excellence. This role requires a self-starter with a curiosity and passion for exploring data, identifying patterns, and delivering actionable recommendations.

You Will

• Build and maintain data intelligence infrastructure to support business needs

• Collect, cleanse, and prepare data from various sources for analysis

• Develop predictive models and algorithms to address key business challenges

• Perform on-chain and off-chain data analysis to identify patterns and uncover insights

• Create methodologies to address variables and make data-driven recommendations for strategic initiatives

• Provide analytical support to our Marketing, Product and Business Development teams

• Develop and maintain dashboards to visualize key metrics and trends

• Support financial modelling and other ad-hoc analytical tasks as needed

• Work through complex variables such as regional hub dynamics, community engagement, and growth opportunities to inform business strategy

You Have

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist

• Experience with both on-chain and off-chain data analysis, or a proven ability to learn and apply on-chain data skills

• Exceptional problem-solving skills and a forward-looking approach to leveraging data for strategic decision-making

• Expertise in statistical analysis, machine learning, and data visualization tools

• Proficiency in Python, R, or SQL

• Experience building and operationalizing data dashboards

• A self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently, cross functionally and manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Curiosity and passion for exploring data, finding patterns and discovering new perspectives
