As our Technical Product Manager
As a TPM on the Platform team, you will play a key role in supporting our clients while driving product-led growth.
Your typical day with us will involve leading backend services development, focusing on message processing, inbound and outbound messaging, and channel integrations (LINE, Meta, TikTok, WhatsApp). You’ll also work on enterprise/data integrations, API integrations, and data engineering initiatives, such as building a robust Data Warehouse. Additionally, you’ll oversee integrations with payment gateways, CRM platforms (Salesforce, Criteo), e-commerce/ERPs (SAP, Shopify), and building out APIs. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, identify business and technical requirements, and help shape the vision and roadmap for Zeals' technical infrastructure. Japanese proficiency is highly preferred to excel in this role.
Your Typical Day With Us:
- Drive the development and scaling of backend services, ensuring seamless integration with messaging platforms and data systems.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams to prioritize features, resolve technical challenges, and meet business objectives.
- Define API requirements and manage third-party service integrations.
- Partner with Data Engineering teams to design and optimize data pipelines for analytics and reporting.
- Establish a clear technical vision for channel integrations, payment gateways, CRM/e-commerce platforms, and enterprise-specific AI Agent features.
- Lead cross-functional meetings to align backend development initiatives with product and business targets.
- Monitor and resolve technical issues in message processing, ensuring high system performance and reliability.
- Act as a bridge between business and engineering teams, translating complex technical requirements into actionable development plans.
- Stay updated with the latest trends in backend services, messaging APIs, and AI-driven conversational technologies to continuously improve the technical roadmap.
What You’ll Need:
- Native or business proficiency in English.
- 3+ years of experience in product management for backend services, APIs, or data systems.
- Proven ability to manage complex technical projects, from ideation to launch.
- Strong understanding of messaging APIs (e.g., LINE, Meta, TikTok, WhatsApp), channel integrations, and payment gateways.
- Familiarity with data engineering, including Data Warehousing and ETL processes.
- Experience with CRM and e-commerce/ERP platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Criteo, SAP, Shopify).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working across cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Business proficiency in Japanese language (preferred).
