Job description

Role: Network Security Engineer (Bilingual Mandarin and English)
Position Type: Full-Time Contract (40hrs/week)
Contract Duration: Long Term
Work Hours: MST (Mountain Time Zone)
Work Schedule: 8 hours/day (Mon-Fri)
Location: 100% Remote (Candidates can work from anywhere from Philippines, India, Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Macau, Malaysia OR Tibet)

Our Client is seeking a Network Security Engineer to join our team to provide Network Security Engineering Services for corporate & customers. This position reports to our Technical Director and is a member of the team providing network security design, architecture, and tools management. Working with fellow team members, the Network Security Engineer will be responsible for a wide variety of activities to secure, manage, and continually evolve the environment.

Job responsibilities include:

Act as a subject matter expert for network security engineering including the development and documentation of reference architectures and technical solution designs for infrastructure services inclusive of data center and Cloud (server, storage, and networking).
Infrastructure management, tuning and administration of core tools including Firewall (Fortinet/Cisco ASA/FTD/CSW), Tuffin, Zscaler (ZIA/ZPA/ADX) and Central Management & Logging (FortiManager & FortiAnalyzer)
Participate and support the Firewall Rule Change Board to ensure changes are managed in accordance with process, standards, and policy requirements
Audit and validate compliance with approved firewall rules and security device configurations
Support disaster recovery and business continuity activities
Document, update and maintain policies, procedures and job aids associated with management of the environment
Provide data flow design and analysis to support network security requirements and reference architecture
Develop standards and baselines in accordance with best practice, compliance requirements and NIST guidance
Develop reports, recurring deliverables and presentations for management and executive stakeholders

Qualifications:

Must Haves:

Bachelor's Degree in related discipline and two (2) years of experience in a related discipline.
Experience working in network security aspect in data center and cloud environments
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Experience with dynamic routing protocols, VRF configuration, application based firewalls.
Experience with deploying and troubleshooting enterprise VPN solutions (Global Protect, FortiClient, AnyConnect)
Experience with reporting and reporting tools
Experience with one or more of the following technologies:
Cisco Secure Workload (CSW)
Cisco ASA/FTD
Zscaler (ZIA/ZPA/ZDX)
Fortinet Products (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer)

Nice to Have:

Experience with DevOps / Agile practices
Experience with network configuration and design in a cloud based environment (Azure, AWS, GCP, OCI)
Cloud certifications such as AWS, Azure or Google
Experience with enterprise architecture framework(s)
Relevant security certification (CISSP or CRISC preferred; alternatives include CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISA, CISM, GSLC, C-CISO, etc)
Networking certifications
Experience with one or more of the following technologies:
AlgoSec
Cisco
Tufin
Fortinet
Zscaler
