Job description

Extensia is seeking a highly experienced Kotlin developer to provide expert guidance to our development team. This is a fractional, flexible role requiring only a few hours per week, perfect for an expert looking to share their knowledge and insights. Work can be performed remotely, and the ideal candidate can be located anywhere.

Key Responsibilities:

Advise on best practices for Kotlin development, including architecture, design patterns, and coding standards.
Recommend and evaluate services, libraries, and solutions for the development team to leverage.
Troubleshoot and resolve advanced technical issues.
Monitor and ensure code quality meets project specifications.
Mentor Kotlin developers, providing actionable feedback and direction.
Collaborate with the team asynchronously or in scheduled sessions to fit your availability.

Requirements

Requirements:

8+ years of professional experience in software development, with a strong focus on Kotlin and Android applications.
Expertise in guiding teams on mobile application architecture, including MVVM, Clean Architecture, and dependency injection frameworks.
Deep knowledge of advanced troubleshooting and debugging techniques.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly.
Familiarity with testing frameworks and code quality tools.

Preferred Experience:

Hands-on knowledge of tools and technologies such as Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, Room, or Firebase.
Experience integrating and optimizing third-party libraries and APIs.
Previous experience mentoring developers or leading technical teams.
