SEO Expert

This is a remote position.

Client Timezone: Salt Lake City, UT, USA 

Responsibilities:

• Content Strategy & Optimization:
  

  • Create, optimize, and manage 60-90 blog posts per month to drive organic traffic.
    
  • Conduct keyword research to identify high-value topics and optimize content for search intent.
    
  • Perform on-page SEO optimizations (titles, meta descriptions, headers, internal linking, etc.).
    
  • Monitor and analyze blog performance to refine content strategy and improve traffic.
    
    

• Technical SEO:
  

  • Audit and resolve technical SEO issues (site speed, mobile-friendliness, URL structure, crawling and indexing, etc.).
    
  • Collaborate with the development team to implement SEO best practices across the site.
    
  • Ensure proper use of structured data, schema markup, and other advanced SEO techniques.
    
    

• Organic Traffic Growth & Performance Analysis:
  

  • Analyze traffic data, identify growth opportunities, and provide actionable recommendations.
    
  • Keep up-to-date with Google algorithm changes and adjust strategies accordingly.
    
  • Develop reports that clearly show SEO performance, goals, and key metrics.
    
    

• Collaboration & Communication:
  

  • Work cross-functionally with marketing, content, and design teams to ensure SEO best practices are being followed.
    
  • Provide training and guidance to junior team members on SEO fundamentals and techniques.
    

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of SEO experience, including significant experience at Google or with Google Search.
  
• Proven track record of increasing organic traffic and improving keyword rankings.
  
• Strong understanding of Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other SEO tools (Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, etc.).
  
• Solid understanding of content marketing strategies, keyword research, and on-page SEO techniques.
  
• Experience with technical SEO, including site audits, speed optimization, mobile-first design, and structured data.
  
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  
• Strong attention to detail and ability to think analytically.
  
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with e-commerce SEO (if applicable to our product line).
  
• Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) like Shopify, or similar platforms.
  
• Basic HTML/CSS knowledge to assist with on-page optimizations.
  
• Ability to stay ahead of SEO trends and adjust strategies as necessary.
