About the role:

 

The Master Data Support Analyst role will be involved in enforcing Data Governance rules and standards and will work in a highly collaborative manner with several departments across the company.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Investigate and resolve master data integration issues by performing detailed root cause analysis. 
  • Recommend and execute corrective measures to address data issues effectively 
  • Provide summary of repeated patterns and raise suggestions for improvements that would address the issues sustainably. 
  • Perform data quality health checks and identify areas for improvement. 
  • Propose and coordinate data cleansing campaigns, including planning and follow-ups. 
  • Collaborate with business teams to implement and monitor cleansing activities. 
  • Troubleshoot issues by analyzing middleware logs and identifying root causes. 
  • Simulate payloads using tools like SOAP UI or Postman to replicate issues. 
  • Run or analyze SQL queries to verify data integrity and resolve issues. 
  • Read and interpret XML and JSON files as part of troubleshooting. 
  • Leverage basic application infrastructure knowledge to restart services or perform remote server logins when necessary. 
  • Participate in problem analysis and resolution efforts, ensuring timely responses
  • Act as a liaison between MDM contributors, service teams, and business stakeholders. 
  • Maintain and improve user documentation for the MDM tool. 
  • Conduct or participate in training sessions to enhance user proficiency. 
  • Engage with key users, shared service centers, end-users, and other support teams to ensure smooth operations and support. 
  • Analyze and understand business requirements from diverse departments, including Accounting, Trading Execution, and Credit Risk Analysis. 

 

Requirements:

 

  • Minimum 2- 3 years of experience in Master Data Management, data quality, or user support.   
  • API Testing Tools: SOAP UI, Postman for payload simulation and testing. 
  • Database Management: Running and analyzing SQL queries. 
  • File Formats: Reading and interpreting XML and JSON files. 
  • Experience with MDM platforms and tools. 
  • Familiarity with monitoring logs and data flow in middleware and integration layers. 
  • Experience with ITSM platforms such as Jira, ServiceNow (SNOW), or similar for incident and problem management. 
  • Experience with MS Tools and manipulating and analyzing data with Excel. 
  • Strong understanding of Master Data Management (MDM) concepts. 
  • Familiarity with middleware tools, SOAP UI, Postman, SQL, XML, and JSON troubleshooting. 
  • Proven ability to analyze complex issues and synthesize actionable insights. 
  • Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent professional experience. 
  • Basic knowledge on what is SDLC of an application.
