This is a remote position.

Schedule:

  • 20 hours/week
  • Monday to Thursday 1 PM to 6 PM

Job Description

As the dedicated bookkeeper, you’ll play a pivotal role in managing the financial aspects of multiple interconnected businesses. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with modern accounting software, handle complex budgeting, and potentially grow from a part-time to a full-time role. You’ll be at the heart of financial operations, managing high-volume transactions and providing crucial insights to drive business success. Responsibilities
  • Manage bookkeeping for multiple businesses using Xero
  • Perform reconciliations, invoicing, and accounts payable/receivable
  • Process payroll and maintain complex budgets in Xero and Excel
  • Liaise with external accountant quarterly
  • Prepare and deliver financial reports to business owner
  • Handle high volume of weekly transactions
  • Adapt to evolving business needs as role potentially expands to full-time
Requirements
  • Proficiency in Xero and strong Excel skills, including complex formulas
  • Understanding of Australian bookkeeping and tax regulations
  • Ability to juggle multiple businesses simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail in financial record-keeping
  • Availability for year-round work with two-week break during Christmas
  • Adaptability to potentially transition from part-time to full-time
