Job description

This is a remote position.


Scope

  • Part-time role, minimum 20 hours per week anywhere between 8 AM to 5 PM Puerto Rico time

  • Remote work with flexible scheduling

  • Potential for role expansion into fund operations support

  • Seasonal workload fluctuations, with increased activity during tax season

  • Opportunity to work across multiple business entities and personal finances

Responsibilities:

  • Manage P&L statements and balance sheets for the Puerto Rico clients

  • Handle monthly invoicing for consulting clients

  • Communicate with external accountants, especially during tax season

  • Track and meet financial deadlines, including tax filings and extensions

  • Assist with personal finance management, including cryptocurrency trade logging and reporting

  • Support with financial documentation for mortgage and loan applications as needed

  • Implement efficient bookkeeping processes to ensure accurate financial records

  • Prepare financial reports for management decision-making

  • Stay updated on financial regulations and ensure compliance across all business entities

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting, preferably with small to medium-sized businesses

  • Proficiency in financial software such as QuickBooks Online

  • Excellent communication skills, particularly in financial email correspondence

  • Strong ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines

  • Enthusiasm for learning about cryptocurrency tracking and reporting

  • Meticulous attention to detail and high accuracy in financial record-keeping

  • Basic understanding of tax regulations and compliance requirements

  • Ability to adapt to seasonal workload fluctuations, particularly during tax season

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively

  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement

  • Discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive financial information
