At the core, this AWS team member requires proficiency with PowerShell or Python and has demonstratable experience using both. This team member is required to have an AWS administrative/Engineer level understanding of Active Directory and have strong problem-solving skills. This team member will know how to design and deploy AWS IaaS applications into Cloud with preference to AWS. This team member should also be organized and be able to work across multiple projects at the same time.
The day-to-day responsibilities:
Review the team ticket queue for work associated to the projects supported.
Deliver outcomes requested within the agreed upon capabilities allowed for Cloud Services contractors.
Work on projects to cleanup/organize Active Directory as required by the projects.
Resolve Active Directory issues (replication, sites, etc.) as requested by project leadership.
Provide AD Group policy creation and troubleshooting for project related requests.
Document patterns and practices for Cloud, Active Directory, and automation work to support ongoing post project knowledge transfer and retention.
Work directly with internal IT customers to resolve Cloud, Active Directory and automation issues for projects assigned to.
Gather data from various systems (Cloud, Active Directory, etc.) for reporting or collecting data for projects as requested from the project manager, development lead or technical product owner.
Update and write new automations (both admin level and production (scheduled) levels) (PowerShell/Python) as required for the project.
The technology expertise requirements:
Active Directory (not limited to creation and deletion of user objects but also troubleshooting issues in replication, firewall, etc.).
Strong understanding and demonstration of basic WAF, CDN and Firewall concepts.
Significant understanding and experience deploying EC2, ALB, etc. in AWS.
Experience using basic TCP/IP networking concepts.
The "nice to have" experience:
Splunk (creating reports, queries)
PowerBI (creating reports)
Containerization
Terraform
AWS technologies such as DynamoDB, Athena, Glue, S3, etc.
