Position Overview

  • The Data Strategist in Data Solutions is responsible for supporting the organization and clientele as subject matter experts in 3rd party data usage, specifically for list rental, data enrichment services, data remediation, customer identification services and related solutions where data is at the core. In addition, this role is responsible for identifying, nurturing and closing sales opportunities, establishing and maintaining relationships with data partners. He/or she will manage relationships with 3rd party data providers and negotiating cost effective data, and data driven solutions for our clients (include: stand alone, multi-channel, and customized product offerings). This role will also be responsible for forecasting, managing, and reporting on the Data Solutions sales, and revenue for their assigned accounts.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for identifying, nurturing and closing sales opportunities.
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with data partners.
  • Communicate specifications of client orders to data coordinators and data operations team for processing.
  • Participate in quarterly and annual planning (forecasting) of assigned accounts.
  • Lead end-to-end efforts supporting clients’ data needs, including thorough research, recommendations, and engaging analytics for back-end analysis.
  • Partner with product development staff to bring new data solutions to the market.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with data owners, data partners and suppliers and internal production staff to ensure superior service to our clients.
  • Negotiate agreements and pricing with data owners and data partners.
  • Stay up to date with list rental and data source solutions available in the market.
  • Be subject matter expert in B2C, and B2B data, both US Domestic and International

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, or work equivalent.
  • Excellent client-facing skills.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience providing list rental and/or data enrichment solutions or data solving solutions.
  • Minimum of 2 years account management experience.
  • Experience at a third-party data provider (eg. Experian, Merkle, Acxiom, D&B, Epsilon, Infogroup, Neustar, etc.)
  • Solid understanding of CRM and direct marketing principles.
  • An innovative, curious, positive and self-directed attitude.  Interested in “figuring out” solutions to problems.
  • Strong oral/written communication skills.
  • Responsive, proactive, enthusiastic and team-oriented.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
