Sr. FP&A Analyst
The Economics, Damages, & Investigations (“EDI”) Financial Planning and Analysis (“FP&A”) Senior Analyst will join BRG’s FP&A team, a small, highly dynamic, and entrepreneurial team within BRG’s finance organization. The Analyst will be part of BRG’s finance organization reporting to the Manager of FP&A EDI, supporting many of BRG’s EDI business units and their leaders with respect to a wide variety of planning, analysis, accounting, and financial management topics connected to these practices and their matters. This position’s location is flexible; however, Washington DC, Dallas or Chicago is preferred. The EDI business units include practices across a diverse set of concentration areas (including but not limited to Anti-Trust, Accounting, Economics, Intellectual Property, Labor & Employment, Capital Markets, Insurance Claims, and others) that do business with clients across the world.

Core responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
- Analyze current and historical trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost, staff utilization and report on variances.
- Review complex data and analytics from various sources for accuracy and deliver useful analyses.
- Work with the Controllers group and FP&A Manager to ensure proper revenue recognition for non-standard and complex matters. Assist in implementing revenue recognition concepts, including identifying matters with complex revenue attributes, analyzing matters to isolate and model performance obligations, and creating supporting schedules and worksheets to support revenue recognition throughout the life of the matter under the supervision of the Controllers group.
- Work closely with FP&A Manager, creating budgets, forecasts, and various other financials models used for control and decision making.
- Actively collaborate with operations team within EDI on KPI reporting and identify areas for improvement and monitor results.
- Present financial results or models to management and experts.
- Create ad-hoc reports by analyzing data for various operating groups.
- Partner with the Controllers and Data Analytics departments to resolve any issues in a prompt and timely manner.
- Protects organization’s integrity by keeping information confidential.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business (preferred majors are Accounting and Finance)
- Intermediate level Excel user including graphs, formulas, pivot tables, data connections, and visual basic macros
- Knowledge of Microsoft Access and experience with SQL and/or relational databases preferred
- Familiarity with financial ERP systems, Workday, or similar, a plus.
- 2-5 years of professional experience preferred
Salary Range: $80,000-$105,000
