Job Description:
Senior Developer - Ruby on Rails
The purpose of this role is to support the continued growth and optimization of a Building Permit Hub by delivering high-quality development work, ensuring scalable and secure digital workflows, and enhancing user experiences for both permit submitters and reviewers.
Must have Tech Stack:
Languages: Ruby on Rails, React, CSS, JavaScript
DB: Redis/Postgres
The Full Stack Developer will:
Create new features on a as needed basis based on roadmap and business needs
Maintain and enhance existing features on the Building Permit Hub platform, leveraging Ruby on Rails and ReactJS.
Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure a user-friendly interface and accessibility compliance.
Work with cross-functional teams to integrate scalable, secure APIs and third-party integrations.
Address technical issues and provide ongoing support to maintain system performance.
Document development processes and provide knowledge transfer to the team.
Be comfortable working in an Agile environment, 2 week sprints, monthly deployments
Nice to have or equivalents:
Previous experience with Rest API’s
WebSocket’s: AnyCable
Authentication: Siteminder/Keycloak with Authorization done in Devise(Rails RBAC)
Storage: Dell S3
LFS: Minio/GIT
Test Automation: Cypress and Rspec
Containerized: Yes with Docker on windows or Local on mac
Repo/CI/CD: GitHub
