Job description

Your Role at MediaLab

As a Social Media Lead Specialist, you will play a key role in owning the creation, growth, management and monetization of your allocated social media channel/s. Your initial focus will be on helping build and implement Snapchat specific strategies for a brand new channel with the goal of reaching monetization targets in line with departmental goals. You will also assist in the creation of a healthy stream of engaging, consistent content specific to your allocated social channel/s. You will work with your line manager and the wider team to help meet departmental revenue and performance goals. Additionally, you will provide support to/collaborate with other social team members across your allocated brand/s.

What You’ll Do
  • Create and source innovative, high-quality content, including videos, images, and stories, that align with our brand voice and resonate with our target audience. This would primarily be for Snapchat, but we would expect that content be shared and formatted for similar social channels like TikTok, IG Stories/Reels and Facebook Stories.
  • Stay on top of trends and develop creative concepts to keep our Snapchat channel growing and engaged.
  • Collaborate with your line manager to develop and implement Snapchat-specific content strategies that align with brand objectives and audience preferences.
  • Collaborate with content, sales, product and marketing teams to produce high-quality, on-brand visuals and messaging.
  • Adhere to all social media guidelines as well as internal content guidelines when creating and publishing social media content. 
  • Use Medialab’s social media management tool (Sprinklr) for sourcing and scheduling content, as well as reporting.
  • Use Medialab’s social media management tool (Sprinklr) to build social listening streams for content aggregation.
  • Assist with creating and implementing monetization strategies leveraging Snapchat's ad products, such as Snap Ads, Story Ads, and Collection Ads.
  • Build/Grow a brand new Snapchat channel to the point of monetization in order to meet 2025 social projections.
  • Identify any new revenue opportunities the Snapchat platform has to offer, including influencer partnerships and premium content offerings.
  • Build and present monthly reports on growth, content and revenue performance, tracked against the channel's KPIs.
  • Manage and maintain a healthy Snapchat audience.
  • Own any and all communications and relationships with the Snapchat representatives.

  • What We’re Searching For
  • You have 3 - 5 years of social media management experience either brand or agency side.
  • You have experience using social media management tools e.g. Sprinklr, Hootsuite, Brandwatch, Sprout etc..You have proven experience in creating and managing specialized social media content.
  • You have demonstrated success in social monetization for channels like Snapchat, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
  • You’re a creative thinker with excellent storytelling and visual design skills.
  • You have a strong understanding of social media trends, audience behavior, and best practices for different platforms.
  • Proficiency with photo and video editing tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite or similar software.
  • You have experience in data collection, analysis, and visualization, with a particular focus on gathering insights from social media performance metrics and contributing to comprehensive reports that inform strategic decision-making.
  • You have experience navigating the social media guidelines and managing flag/violations to resolution.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
