Meet the team:

The Applicator Process Development team provides global ownership of new device product introduction to high volume manufacturing.  As part of the Operations organization, the team ensures product and manufacturing modernization along with improvements for safety, and reliability resulting in positive outcomes for our users every day. The team has expertise across many subject areas and experience levels, leading to a collaborative environment with innovative solutions. This role will lead technical projects related to product/process development and provide expertise in design and understanding product/process/system impacts on device performance.

Where you come in:

You will lead/work as part of a cross-departmental team to drive the development of new products for transition and scaling from R&D into Global Production. The following activities are key: 

  • You are the main Operations technical resource: You will define technical requirements (hardware, software, system) and specifications for scaled production, ensure the necessary assembly/test solutions and execute for on-time delivery of project goals. 

  • You will partner with R&D to evaluate, refine early proof of concepts and new product designs and translate them for high volume manufacturing assembly. 

  • You will lead/participate in DFx and help develop strategies for Manufacturing Automation.  

  • You will work with R&D HW/FW/SW, QA, Process, Manufacturing, and external contractors to specify technical plan, schedule and execution through Design Control.

  • You will resolve complex product/process development and manufacturing issues and take lead of working cross functional teams to solve.

  • You will define and generate Engineering Protocols/Reports for proof of concept and feasibility projects. 

  • You will assure all manufacturing processes efforts adhere to regulatory and quality requirements. 

What makes you successful:

  • You bring previous experience in developing products for High-Volume manufacturing for a medical device company 

  • You bring proficiency in design-for-manufacturing (DFM) practices for very high-volume products 

  • You are experienced in SolidWorks or equivalent CAD software.

  • You are experienced with devices containing BLE or NFC

  • You bring previous experience leading cross functional technical projects with engineers, developers and scientists.

  • You are proficient with CAD, and basic LabView 

  • You are proficient with technical writing skills applied to manufacturing documentation – and experienced in the creation and revision of technical documents and drawings. 

  • You have a strong background in combination products: Mechanical, SW/FW, Analog and Digital electronics 

  • You bring knowledge of MS tools such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project

Experience and Education:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, and a minimum of 8-12 years related experience or Master’s degree and 5-7 years equivalent industry experience or a PhD and 2-4 years of experience.

Travel Required:

  • 15-25%

Remote Workplace: Your location will be a home office; you are not required to live within commuting distance of your assigned Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km). If you reside within commuting distance of a Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km) a hybrid working environment may be available. Ask about our Flex workplace option.
