The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer solves complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers. The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

We are seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to support our HEDIS performance improvement and operational reporting initiatives. This role will focus on delivering insights and building data-driven solutions to enhance healthcare outcomes, drive operational efficiency, and support compliance with HEDIS measures.

Key Responsibilities

Data Management and Reporting:

  • Retrieve, structure, and manage complex healthcare datasets to support HEDIS reporting and operational dashboards.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize Power BI dashboards for monitoring performance metrics and trends.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across reports and tools.

Data Analysis and Insights:

  • Analyze HEDIS data to identify performance trends, gaps, and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address complex healthcare challenges using data-driven approaches.
  • Proactively recommend opportunities for improvement and innovation based on data analysis
  • Partner with operational teams to align data insights with strategic goals.

HEDIS Expertise Development:

  • Become an expert in HEDIS measures, processes, and performance metrics.
  • Develop a deep understanding of data sources and their connection to HEDIS performance outcomes.
  • Educate stakeholders on HEDIS data and processes to enhance data-informed decision-making.

Location: Remote (preference for Louisville, KY)

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of data analysis experience or Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience.
  • Expertise in managing large, complex datasets within enterprise environments.
  • Proven ability to analyze data and develop solutions for complex business problems.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced proficiency in SQL.
  • Experience creating data visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$89,000 - $121,400 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
