IS Senior Manager, MyAmgen Product Owner - US Remote - East Coast

What you will do

In this vital role you will lead the MyAmgen Product Team in driving an exceptional employee experience for Amgen’s global workforce through the continuous improvement and evolution of the company’s intranet platform. This role focuses on delivering strategic value while ensuring alignment with organizational goals and meeting the needs of a diverse, global staff.

You will be responsible for defining and maintaining the product vision and strategic roadmap, managing relationships with business partners, and ensuring the MyAmgen platform remains relevant and impactful. This includes managing the product budget, overseeing governance processes in partnership with SME business partners, and reviewing work to ensure alignment with the platform’s strategy and objectives.

A technical background is strongly recommended to guide development efforts effectively as this product is hosted on Salesforce and leverages MuleSoft and other software packages. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and business partners is crucial to drive innovation and maintain the MyAmgen platform as a central resource that enhances the global employee experience. Strong leadership and strategic mentality are critical to achieving impactful, scalable results.

Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Define, maintain, and drive the strategic roadmap for the MyAmgen platform to ensure it aligns with organizational goals and enhances the global employee experience.
  • Collaborate closely with business partners to understand their needs, manage expectations, and ensure the platform delivers measurable business value.
  • Manage the MyAmgen product team, comprised of developers, analysts, test engineers and external vendors
  • Champion the product vision, ensuring it remains aligned with organizational strategy and evolving employee needs.
  • Oversee and handle the product budget to ensure resources are allocated effectively and support strategic priorities.
  • Leverage a technical background to guide development efforts and bridge the gap between business requirements and technical delivery.
  • Maintain accountability for delivering measurable business value and continuously improving the MyAmgen platform to support a superior global employee experience.

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree and 2 years of relevant experience in managing Finance Data Model experience

Or

Master’s degree and 4 years of relevant experience in managing Finance Data Model experience

Or

Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of relevant experience in managing Finance Data Model experience

Or

Associate’s degree and 10 years of relevant experience in managing Finance Data Model experience

Or

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of relevant experience in managing Finance Data Model experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Must-Have Skills :
  • Ability to define and drive a product vision and strategic roadmap that aligns with organizational goals and supports operational excellence, using data-driven insights to make informed decisions.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to build relationships and manage expectations with diverse partners, including executive leaders, cross-functional business partners, and technical teams.
  • Proficiency in handling product budgets, ensuring optimal resource allocation to support critical initiatives, operational efficiency, and measurable business value.
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional teams, such as IT, HR, and Communications, to ensure the product remains innovative, relevant, and impactful across all business areas.
  • Solid technical background with the ability to understand and guide development efforts, ensuring alignment between business requirements and technical delivery.
Good-to-Have Skills:
  • Experience working in an agile operating model
  • Experience building and continuously monitoring & improving system to system integrations for financial data
  • Programming skills in Python and SQL in an AWS environment
  • Strong familiarity with Agile practices, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and iterative development processes, to support collaboration, transparency, and delivery excellence.
  • Experience driving innovation by using emerging technologies, such as AI and automation, to enhance platform capabilities, streamline operations, and deliver continuous improvement.
  • Ability to use data-driven insights and performance metrics, such as user engagement, platform reliability, and ROI, to inform product strategy and prioritize initiatives effectively.
  • Background in developing platforms or initiatives designed to improve the global employee experience, with a focus on usability, engagement, and operational efficiency.
Professional Certifications:
  • Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Product Owner/Product Manager
Soft Skills:
  • Strong leadership, team management, and team-oriented mentality with a focus on achieving goals.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills; effective in collaboration and public speaking.
  • Previous transformation and change management experience, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and work with global, virtual teams.
  • Excellent analytical skills and a proactive, self-motivated approach to solving challenges.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
