Job description

Workforce Specialist, Equity and Quality, California Afterschool Network (CAN)
Remote within California, Must reside in California

The California AfterSchool Network (CAN) believes the Out-of-School-Time (OST) field, including Expanded Learning, plays an essential role in advancing the health and well-being of every child. To achieve this, CAN and our partners focus on fundamentally redesigning systems to expand access to high-quality programs, support and nurture our workforce, and strengthen and align resources for children, families, and communities. CAN envisions compassionate communities that collaborate with OST programs to support whole children, families, and communities so that every young person, and every family is well-known, well-cared for, and supported to thrive. And CAN works towards this vision by modeling antiracist practices, such as centering the voice of impacted staff in our decision-making practices, allowing staff with the most lived and learned experiences lead work that aligns with those experiences, creating space for staff to live their values in the workplace and honoring the balance needed between home and our work, with our actions and expectations, and not just our words.
