In your role as an Associate Legal Counsel at BambooHR, you will focus on:

  • Contract Review and Negotiation: You’ll draft, review, and negotiate a variety of agreements (NDAs, vendor agreements, data processing agreements, partnership contracts, etc.) and collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure contract terms align with company policies and goals.
  • Legal Research and Compliance: You’ll conduct legal research on contractual, corporate, regulatory, and compliance issues; monitor legal/regulatory changes impacting the business; and assist in implementing necessary adjustments.
  • Risk Management: You’ll participate in internal audits and compliance reviews while supporting the legal team in identifying and mitigating potential legal, contractual and regulatory risks.
  • Cross-Functional Support: You’ll assist in responding to legal inquiries  and collaborate with various departments (Marketing, Partnerships, Sales, Finance, HR, Operations, etc) to provide legal advice and guidance.

What You Need to Get the Job Done

  • Education: You have recently completed your Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Bar: You have been admitted to the bar (or are pending admission), preferably in Utah.
  • Critical Thinking: You’ve developed strong analytical and problem solving skills and can apply them in a variety of legal situations.
  • Integrity: You have an incredibly high standard of ethics. You care deeply about not only doing the right thing, but also inspiring others across the organization to do the same.
  • Communication: You’re an excellent verbal and written communicator and can convey complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Relationship Building: You have a knack for building strong relationships of trust across an organization and have a collaborative approach to solving problems.
  • Task Management: You have the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize work to meet deadlines efficiently.
  • Organization: You have a keen attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks.
