Connect for Health has a great opportunity for a Product Data Analyst.


Connect for Health Colorado is a public, non-profit entity established by the Colorado General Assembly in 2011 to create a health insurance Marketplace. Since 2013, we’ve been helping individuals, families and small employers compare plans, apply for financial help and buy health insurance. As Colorado’s official health insurance marketplace, we are the only place to apply for financial help to lower the monthly cost of premiums. Customers can shop online; get help by phone or online chat from Customer Service Center representatives; and access expert help from a statewide network of certified Brokers and community-based Assisters. Position Summary:


The Product Data Analyst is responsible for enabling product teams to make data-driven decisions. They establish and maintain best practices in data collection, analysis, reporting, evaluating product performance, and optimizing processes for utilizing product data. This position requires a blend of technical acumen, strategic insight, and collaborative spirit to empower our product teams and enhance the product journey with data-driven insights. 


Position Responsibilities:


Establish Best Practices:

  • Create and maintain guidelines for product data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Standardize product data metric definitions to ensure consistency and clarity across reporting.   
  • Stay current with analytics best practices and tools to continuously improve methodologies.

Enable Product Decisions and Insights:                                                                                                                                                           -  

  • Collaborate with product team to identify data needs and provide support in data-driven decision-making and roadmap  planning. 
  • Train and empower product team to effectively utilize product data and analytics tools. Serve as an expert for product analytics governance and troubleshooting.   
  • Act as a bridge between data science, research, engineering, and product teams to ensure insights are incorporated into product development.                                                                                                                                                                                                    

Evaluate Product and Operations Performance:                                                                                                                                         -  

  • Work with product leaders to establish and monitor key product metrics and performance indicators that support organizational goals.    
  • Conduct regular evaluations to assess product performance against goals and benchmarks.   
  • Create automated, repeatable processes to measure product/feature success and operational performance.  
  •  Identify product or operational improvement opportunities and recommend strategies for optimization.                                                                                                                                                                                                              

Data Visualization and Accessibility:                                                                                                                                                               -  

  • Develop and maintain intuitive dashboards to monitor platform health, reflect key performance metrics, and assist in organizational planning.    
  • Ensure real-time data access and visualization for stakeholders.

Collaboration and Communication:                                                                                                                                                                 -  

  • Actively participate in organizational data strategy and reporting, representing product needs and ensuring product data is represented clearly.      
  • Develop comprehensive data reports and visualizations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including executives and team leaders.        
  • Tell creative and strategic stories with data that convince stakeholders to prioritize and implement solutions.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 
Requirements

  

  • Colorado resident. 
  • Preferred bachelor’s degree in data science, statistics, business analytics, or a related field.
  •  3+ years of experience in data analysis in a product-focused environment.
  •  2+ years of experience in product management preferred.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau, Looker).
  • Experience with product analytics platforms (e.g. Pendo, Amplitude, Mixpanel).
  • Experience with product management and planning tools (e.g. Jira, road mapping software, customer survey tools, user research repository).
  • Basic programming knowledge in Python or R is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an aptitude for translating data insights into strategic recommendations.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, manage multiple complex priorities and respond effectively to change.
  • Experience in an iterative product development culture.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Work Environment:

  • Currently working remotely.
  • The Connect for Health Colorado office is in the North Tech Center area of Denver, near the intersection of I-25 and I-225.
  • The work schedule may include some non-traditional hours, weekends and evening events.
  • Core office hours are typically 8am-5pm with some flexibility.

Connect for Health Colorado offers a competitive benefits package. Connect for Health Colorado employees are eligible to participate in the organization’s 403(b) plan and are additionally provided with paid time off, short- and long-term disability and life insurance.  The salary range for this position is $72,100 - $94,760.
