IT Engineer

We’re seeking an experienced IT Engineer to take on a pivotal role in supporting our growing organization of over 1,000 employees across the U.S. Reporting to the Director of IT, you will lead our most technically challenging IT engineering projects and play a key role in automating workflows and enhancing operational efficiency.
In this role, you’ll collaborate with our SysAdmin to operate critical programs and deliver key milestones in 2025. This position requires expertise in Okta workflows and Terraform, along with a strong passion for automation and GitOps practices.

Responsibilities
Endpoint Management
Operate an Endpoint management program for 1000+ Macbook fleet
Implement Zero Touch provisioning
Lead the implementation of a Managed Service Provider to handle laptop lifecycle
Work with MSP hosted Oomniza to have accurate inventory management system
Implement Jamf device trust with Okta
Implement Jamf Connect with Okta
Develop a cost savings proposal to migrate to Chromebooks for new clinician endpoints
Implement SOAR with Okta workflows and Jamf protect to quarantine endpoints
Identity and Access Management
Administer Okta SSO
Implement a Privileged Access Management platform (PAM) in collaboration with foundation engineering and security
Maintain a GitOps IaC repository for Terraform management Okta, GCP and Google Workspace groups
Create Okta Authentication Policies with Terraform for passwordless access
Implement Device Health Assurance using Chrome Enterprise and Okta
Scaling Operations
Collaborate with IT Support, Recruiting, and HR to automate processes using Okta Workflows
Create a proposal to implement RPA platform to automate back of house processes
Discover areas for cost savings
Security
Collaborate with Security on Zero Trust security architecture with Netskope, Okta, Jamf
Ensure compliance standards are met in accordance with SOC2, HIPAA HITRUST

Virta has a location based compensation structure. Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.
