As we continue to expand, we are seeking a skilled and results-driven Sales Representative to help drive the adoption of AI-powered robotics and automation technologies.

Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Sales Representative with 5+ years of experience in the robotics, AI, and factory automation sectors. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of both industrial automation and AI applications in manufacturing, along with the ability to build strong customer relationships and drive sales growth in a competitive market. This is a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies in robotics and artificial intelligence, helping transform manufacturing processes across various industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy & Execution:
    Develop and implement a sales strategy targeting clients in the factory automation and AI robotics space. Identify key business opportunities, build relationships, and expand market share by promoting AI-driven automation solutions.

  • Client Relationship Management:
    Build and nurture relationships with new and existing Partners and Customers, understanding their needs and providing AI-integrated robotic solutions tailored to their manufacturing processes. 

  • Product Knowledge & Consultation:
    Leverage your knowledge of robotics, AI, and automation to educate and advise customers on how our solutions can enhance productivity, efficiency, and safety. Demonstrate a deep understanding of AI applications in robotics, such as machine learning for predictive maintenance, computer vision, and adaptive automation.

  • Sales Presentations & Demonstrations:
    Deliver compelling sales presentations, product demos, and workshops, both in-person and virtually. Show customers how AI-powered robotic systems can solve complex manufacturing challenges.

  • Sales Negotiations & Closing:
    Manage the entire sales cycle—from prospecting and qualification to proposal development, contract negotiations, and deal closing. Both Direct and Indirect business. 

  • Market Intelligence & Competitor Analysis:
    Stay up-to-date on trends in robotics, AI, and factory automation, as well as emerging technologies like collaborative robots (cobots) and AI-powered analytics. Monitor competitors’ offerings and identify opportunities for differentiation.

  • Collaboration with Technical Teams:
    Partner closely with Applications engineering, product development, and technical support teams to ensure that customer specifications are met. Provide customer feedback to inform product and service innovations.

  • Sales Reporting & Forecasting:
    Maintain accurate CRM records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline status. Provide regular sales forecasts and reports to management.

  • AI Integration & Thought Leadership:
    Act as a thought leader in the integration of AI in robotics. Educate clients on the benefits of AI, including automation of complex tasks, real-time decision-making, and improved operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    Minimum of 5 years in sales with a focus on robotics, automation, or AI technologies in a B2B environment. Experience specifically in factory automation, robotics, or AI applications in manufacturing is highly preferred.

  • Industry Knowledge:
    Deep understanding of industrial automation, robotics, and AI applications in manufacturing. Familiarity with AI concepts such as machine learning, computer vision, edge computing, and IoT as they relate to robotics.

  • Proven Sales Success:
    Demonstrated success in managing and closing complex sales cycles. A track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a technical sales environment.

  • Technical Acumen:
    Strong understanding of robotics, AI, and automation technologies. Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Previous experience selling AI-integrated solutions is a plus.

  • Communication Skills:
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical solutions in an accessible way to decision-makers at all levels.

  • Problem-Solving & Solution Selling:
    Ability to identify customer pain points and deliver innovative AI-driven robotic solutions. Strong negotiation skills and an ability to close deals with both technical and business decision-makers.

  • Education:
    Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Robotics, Automation, Business, or a related field. A technical background is strongly preferred.

  • Travel:
    Willingness to travel as needed for customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events. Goal of 4 days in front of customers a week. Up to 50% Travel.

Compensation and Benefits:

Base pay for this role is $100,000 to $150,000 with significant bonus compensation based on achieving goals. We are open to a variety of seniority levels for this role and will build compensation packages that are commensurate with seniority and skill level. Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at Standard Bots. All Full-Time Employees are eligible for Employee Stock Options. We also offer a package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees.
