Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Fortnite Coach to support our burgeoning school esports program at Elite Academic Academy. The ideal candidate will have tournament experience and prioritize the development of in-game skills, strategic thinking, teamwork, and sportsmanship while maintaining a positive environment built on commitment and hard work.


General Duties:
1. Assist in planning and leading Fortnite practices tailored to middle and high school players.
2. Provide feedback on gameplay mechanics, strategies, and positioning.
3. Foster a positive team culture and promote communication, respect, and discipline.
4. Track player progress and assist with individualized skill development plans.
5. Support students during scrimmages and competitions.
6. Collaborate with the head coach to ensure program goals and expectations are met.
7. Reviewing game film to find player performance improvements


Desired:
1. Achieved at least Champion Rank in Fortnite (or equivalent peak ranking in past seasons).
2. Strong understanding of Fortnite gameplay mechanics, strategy, and current meta. 
3. Ability to effectively explain complex game concepts in a simplified manner for younger players.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Commitment to promoting a safe, positive, and inclusive gaming environment.
6. Ability to work Pacific time hours


SMART Goals:
1. Fulfill school-wide and individual LCAP/SMART goals.


Desired Qualifications:
1. Esports experience preferred
2. Leadership Experience
3. Bachelor’s Degree Preferred but not required
