Job Description: LIGR Broadcast Manager

About The Role

LIGR is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Technical Broadcast Manager to lead and oversee all technical operations of live broadcasts, ensuring the seamless delivery of high-quality audio, video and digital content across multiple platforms. This role involves overseeing production agencies, supporting internal and external technical teams, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. The position requires a blend of technical expertise, account management skills, leadership skills, and a thorough understanding of broadcast workflows. As the primary point of contact, you will serve as the central conduit connecting all stakeholders including critical partners, production agencies, data providers, distribution platforms and other stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of all LIGR services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Broadcast Operations Management:
  • Oversee the technical aspects of live broadcasts
  • Ensure that all broadcasts meet the highest quality standards for audio, video, and digital content.
  • Oversee production agencies to prepare and test technical setups before broadcasts.
  • Relationship Management:
  • Act as the primary liaison between all stakeholders, maintaining strong communication workflows and fostering collaboration across clients and service providers.
  • Project Coordination:
  • Lead and manage all competition planning and preparation activities, ensuring alignment with project plan goals, timelines and deliverables.
  • Operational Oversight:
  • Supervise match-day operations, including MCR (Master Control Room), streaming distribution, and coordination with production teams.
  • Scheduling and Communication:
  • Develop and manage schedules for competitions
  • Manage regular stakeholder meetings to ensure project deliverables are met.
  • Ensure all stakeholders are informed and aligned through regular review meetings to assess performance, address challenges, and implement improvements.
  • Service Delivery:
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of all LIGR services, including live graphics, highlights, live scoring, streaming, and archiving, in the appropriate formats.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Maintain a high standard of service delivery by monitoring performance metrics and ensuring compliance with LIGR’s quality benchmarks.

Qualifications And Skills

  • Proven experience in account management, preferably within the sports or broadcast industries.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain effective relationships.
  • Strong technical knowledge of broadcast workflows including live streaming, graphics, and data integration in sports production is a strong advantage.
  • Familiarity with sporting competition structures is highly desirable.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and a results-driven approach.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and match days, as required.
