The Role:
As a Product Director at Morning Consult, you'll lead a team of passionate and talented Product Managers responsible for the Morning Consult Intelligence (MCI) platform, and help define and drive the vision for our next phase of growth. Reporting directly to the Chief Product Officer, you’ll partner with Engineering, Customer Success, Sales and other key stakeholders to define and prioritize problems to solve. Additional responsibilities include long-term roadmap planning, competitive analysis, defining KPIs and go-to-market strategy. Your success will ultimately be measured by your ability to drive meaningful business outcomes.
You’ll also be responsible for the professional growth and development of individual Product Managers, and help evolve our product culture and practices. Successful candidates will thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and will be empowered to take ownership, bias to action and make calculated tradeoffs. Empowering PMs to take ownership of their areas of focus and hone their leadership skillsBuilding and maintaining first-hand knowledge of our customers via Sales / CSM calls, recordings and direct customer interactionsStaying informed on industry trends, competitor activities and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovationWhen necessary, evolving product practices and processes to improve collaboration, efficiency and outcomesAbout You and What You've Done:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience8+ years of experience in SaaS product management, including leadership rolesTrack record of positive business impact (revenue, retention, etc.)Proven track record of managing and mentoring product teams in fast-paced environmentsExperience working with in-house UX and Engineering teams in a fast-paced, agile environmentExcellent communication, collaboration and stakeholder management skillsDemonstrated experience in customer interaction, balancing empathy with business objectivesExperience with data products (specifically survey data) is a significant plusAnalytical mindset with a passion for leveraging data to drive decision-makingOpen and collaborative style; comfortable working in an environment where ideas are shared and challengedWilling to take feedback, learn and grow; an ethos of continuous self-improvementNote: We view the above section as a guide, not a checklist. The expected salary range for this position is $146,300 - $243,400 with a midpoint of $194,900.
In most cases, we target the midpoint of our salary ranges for new hire compensation. This placement is reflective of full proficiency in a role.
