The Sales Data Analyst is responsible for analyzing and interpreting complex data sets to assess the potential success and productivity of client accounts. This role requires a highly data-driven approach with a focus on leveraging advanced Excel skills including algorithms and macros to provide actionable insights that drive sales strategies and decision-making.
This role has high earning potential due to the commission structure and industries supported.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis and Interpretation
Collect clean and analyze sales data to identify trends patterns and anomalies.
Evaluate the potential of new client accounts and the performance and productivity of existing client accounts using various data sources.
Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
Advanced Excel Proficiency
Utilize advanced Excel functions including but not limited to VLOOKUP pivot tables and conditional formatting.
Create and maintain complex algorithms to automate data analysis processes.
Develop and implement macros to streamline repetitive tasks and improve efficiency.
Reporting and Visualization
Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
Use data visualization tools to present data in an easily understandable format.
Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
Strategic Planning and Support
Collaborate with sales teams to develop strategies that enhance client account
performance.
Support strategic planning by providing data-driven insights and forecasts.
Identify opportunities for improvement and suggest initiatives to boost sales
productivity.
Data Management
Ensure the accuracy integrity and security of sales data.
Maintain and update databases and systems used for data analysis.
Implement best practices for data management and analysis.
Requirements
Skills Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in Business Statistics Data Science or a related field.
Proven experience as a data analyst preferably in a sales or marketing
environment.
Exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Excel including advanced functions
algorithms and macros.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present data findings clearly
and concisely.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Master s degree in a related field.
Familiarity with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce).
