Job Title: Part-Time Molecular Laboratory Specialist - Remote (WFH)

Job Overview

Join our esteemed team as a Part-Time Molecular Laboratory Specialist in a remote capacity. In this essential role, you will contribute to our commitment to delivering precise laboratory testing and enhancing access to critical health services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough reviews and analyses of PCR data to ensure the accuracy and reliability of results.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues and management to identify and resolve any challenges that may arise.
  • Engage in quality improvement efforts and participate actively in ongoing process enhancements.
  • Uphold patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Manage and report on any unusual or unacceptable specimens in a timely manner.
  • Execute routine laboratory tasks, including maintaining records and quality control charting.

Required Skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey scientific information clearly.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities to maintain high accuracy in tasks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 and possess robust technical skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology, Biology, Chemistry, Genetics, Medical Laboratory Sciences, or a related discipline.
  • At least 2 years of laboratory experience, preferably in infectious disease, with a focus on PCR data analysis, assay validation, and correlation studies.
  • Familiarity with CLIA, COLA, and other accreditation standards is advantageous.
  • MLS or MT certification, along with any required state licenses, is a plus.
